It's contagious. It crosses species lines. Is it dangerous? Well, only if you're headed out of the door and late for an appointment. It's bellyrubitis!
The SPCA of Westchester put together an absolutely adorable video showing all of the classic symptoms of this syndrome in order to promote the only cure: adoption. And it's a good time to share the fun. Not only are the giggles healthy after the doldrums of winter, but spring is a time when shelters have their hands especially full with litters of homeless kittens and puppies from animals that have not been spayed or neutered.
So if you're feeling the blues, volunteer at your local shelter. They'll appreciate the help. And you, along with many of the shelter animals, will appreciate the belly rubs.
