Betty White has won over millions of people these past few years, but her charming demeanor and kindhearted nature is now capturing the attention of the country's four-legged friends as well.
According to PeoplePets.com
, White was in Williamsburg, Virignia recently, where she signed animal-themed ornaments for fans in order to contribute to a pet rescue
charity. She also arrived to the event in a horse-drawn carriage and spent some time with a special dog beforehand.
"I am honored to be celebrating a day all about the animals with the city of Williamsburg," the former star of the Golden Girls said in a statement."Morris Animal Foundation is dear to my heart, and I look forward to celebrating a healthier tomorrow for all animals."
This isn't the first time Betty White has campaigned for the four-legged creatures among us. The octogenarian has been a stalwart advocate for animal welfare since the 1970, and has been on the board of directors for the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association since 1974.
