CInco de Mayo Pooch Parade helps Moore County group

Pooches went on parade earlier in May to help the Moore Humane Society. "This was our first annual event for Cinco de Mayo, and raised $4,500 which we are very happy about. We're going to be planning a capital campaign shortly to help raise funds for a new shelter. Our current facility is over fifty years old," wrote Lynn Stickel, Event Co-Chair, in a recent email to The Animal Rescue Site.

Moore Humane Society operates the only privately funded, state licensed, animal shelter in Moore County, NC, and practices a "no-kill" philosophy.
