Dog saves pregnant owner's life

An 8-year-old American Eskimo dog is being hailed as a hero after saving its owner's life when she had a seizure related to her pregnancy, the Idaho Falls LocalNews 8 reports.
Cody Robertson, 15 and seven months pregnant, woke up on the couch in the middle of the night and started shaking, she told the news source. She called for her mother, even though she thought it was just the chills. She blacked out, but not before their dog, Mickey, had noticed something was wrong.
Mickey woke up Robertson's mother, who never heard her child yell for help. She found her in the middle of a pregnancy-related seizure, limp and sweaty, non-responsive.
Luckily, mother Debbie Denning called 911 and Robertson was rushed to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, where she delivered her baby via Cesarean section. Doctors told the two that she could have died, had the dog not alerted the mother in time.
"She's one amazing dog," Robertson told the news source.
"There's just no way to repay what she has done for my family," Denning added.
