Doggy ice cream helps canines cool off

During the hot days of summer, little pooches can get dehydrated quickly. Now, people who want to help animals can offer their four-legged friends more than a bland drink of water.

According to the My Fox Boston, the world's first ice cream truck for dogs is making the rounds in England at the moment. Dubbed the K99, the flavors available include Dog Eat Hog World, a gammon and chicken ice cream combination, as well as Canine Cookie Crunch, a traditional wafer cone mixed with a canine biscuit bone, according to the news source.

The flavors were reportedly created with a dog's appetite in mind, taking into account flavor, texture and temperature.

Experts believe that although giving dogs ice cream is fine every once in a while, pet owners are advised to never let their pooches try any food with chocolate ingredients, as ingesting the substance can prove fatal.

Those who want their furry companions to stay cool during these months can instead opt to keep them in an air conditioned room, or let them jump into a backyard pool.ADNFCR-2796-ID-19905474-ADNFCR
