Jordin Sparks wooed the world during the sixth season of American Idol, yet the adorable singer admits she still experiences stage fright. However, Sparks spoke with OK! Magazine and explained that an unlikely creature has helped her battle her butterflies - her 9-month-old puppy, Miles.
"Animals have always helped calm me down and helped relax me. They're great to have," she told the news outlet.
Sparks is currently starring in Broadway's In The Heights, the Tony Award-winner for Best Musical in 2008. She is also mom to pups Maggie and Noni, both of whom remain in her home state of Arizona while she lives it up in the Big Apple.
It looks as though Jordin is echoing the sentiments of animal enthusiasts - their paw print on our lives is undeniable.
"I don't have kids, but that's the love that you feel. You're so attached to them, and you want to be with them all the time," she told the news source.
Pets have long been known to help their two-legged counterparts battle depression and anxiety. In fact, experts often recommend for people with serious emotional issues to consider animal adoption.
