Video footage of the devastation left behind by the tornado that struck Joplin, Missouri, shows debris and destruction where homes and buildings once stood. organizations have been busy sending relief teams to Joplin in order to save and recover as many lost animals as possible. Temporary shelters have been set up to provide homes for those animals who find themselves homeless following the tornado.
At least 116 people were killed in the tornadoes that ravaged Joplin, Missouri, according to CNN. About 30 percent of the city was affected by the tornado, which the National Weather Service says is the second most deadly in the history of the United States.
