Bill First had his faith in humanity restored after his beloved tabby cat Scarlet was found and kept safe after she went missing for four days. The Centretown News
reports that First knew something was wrong when his lovable feline didn't return home in the morning after being out late the night before. He formed his own animal rescue
party to look for Scarlet around the neighborhood, but they came up empty-handed.
First then received a call from an unknown number, and on the line was a young woman who thought she may have found his cat. They agreed to meet and, sure enough, it was Scarlet that the young woman found.
She had seen a man drop the cat off in front of a church, so she took the feline home and cared for her, buying her a litter box and food so that she was still being treated well even though she was away from home.
"Our cats are very important to us and we couldn't be happier to have Scarlet back," he told the news source.
According to the Humane Society, cats do not need to go outside in order to remain happy. Indoor cats tend to live longer than those that go outside.
