One of the best aspects of the summer for school-age children is going to camp. The program offers youngsters a place to relax, mingle and enjoy some time away from home.
Now, pet owners in the Miami area are able to give their four-legged friends the same delightful experience, according to USA Today
. Those who can afford the $45 per day price tag may want to send their pooches to Totally Dog, a camp designed especially for canines.
The daytime respite was opened in 1999 by Elena Sweet, a dog trainer and paramedic who obviously has a soft spot in her heart for four-legged friends.
"I wanted a place where owners that are busy could have the peace of mind that their dogs are getting exercise and getting cared for during the day," she told the news source.
Sweet's program even features a Doggie Bus, where canine campers are picked up in the morning and brought home at the end of the day.
According to its website, Totally Dog features daily adventures throughout their 2-acre pineland, unlimited access to its bone-shaped pool, and doggie baths upon request.
