The Prosthetics Outreach Foundation, a long-time charitable partner of GreaterGood.org, works in developing countries to help children and adults who suffer from limb loss and limb deformities
have access to high-quality orthopedic and non-clinical rehabilitation services.
One program, training doctors in the Ponseti treatment method for clubfoot, can save children from permanent disability. This method of non-surgical early intervention occurs while the child is still an infant and has a 94% success rate.
The Prosthetics Outreach Foundation provides for the medical treatment, labor by trained in-country medical health professionals, and even a small travel allowance for the parents of the children in some countries - critical in connecting patients who live in very poor areas with providers who can help them.
