RedRover Responders, the volunteers working with RedRover.org, looked for the animal victims of Superstorm Sandy in November.
"We are so thankful for the timely support received from GreaterGood.Org. The generous grant helped our RedRover Responders volunteer team care for 235 animals displaced by devastating Superstorm Sandy and reunite animals with their owners. We were also able to transport seven stray and surrendered cats from New Jersey to a sanctuary in California to ensure they would find new loving homes," said President and CEO Nicole Forsyth.
The RedRover Responders provided daily care and comfort for pets rescued from the storm until they could be reunited with their families.
Founded in 1987, RedRover focuses emergency sheltering, disaster relief services, and education to help pets and their owners.
GreaterGood.org provides disaster assistance to groups like Red Rover through the support of the Gifts That Give More [tm] program and other funding from The Animal Rescue Site.
