Rescue Bank Moves Pallets Of Pet Food

In 2006, Elizabeth Asher and John Kane formed Rescue Bank, a nonprofit that literally moves pallets of pet food from donors to the shelters and rescue groups that need it most.

Since partnering with The Animal Rescue Site in 2011, the organization has managed to stretch their web of distribution sites out of the Southwest and across the nation. Today they are on track to create a nationwide delivery system to more efficiently utilize contributions from pet food companies, donors, and more. Groups can apply for assistance through Rescue Bank's website.

GreaterGood.org's contributions to Rescue Bank topped $140,000 in 2012 and were made possible by the support of donors, shoppers, and clickers at The Animal Rescue Site.
