It was just last month that Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, cast member of the Jersey Shore, was fined $500 and ordered to take part in community service for disorderly conduct. However, it's nice to know the pint-size reality star has spent the last 30 days lending her time to a great cause.
According to the Associated Press, Polizzi has been cleaning up after animals at the Popcorn Park Zoo, a sanctuary for abandoned or abused pets in southern New Jersey. She also took her efforts to another level and signed autographs for fans this past Sunday at the Seaside Height Community, with all proceeds going to Donations of Love, an organization which benefits animal shelters.
"The autograph-signing is not technically part of her community service," her lawyer, Raymond Raya, told the news outlet. "It's just a thank you to her fans who have supported her throughout this whole process, and it raises money for a good cause."
Snooki isn't the first reality television star to campaign for animal rescue
awareness. In fact, Jackass star Steve-O has been extremely vocal about his passion for people to learn more about animal adoption.
