The Bark Ark held dog wash event for animal rescue

Pet owners kept their dogs clean and supported an animal rescue cause through The Bark Ark's benefit dog wash in Mendon, Massachusetts, according to the Milford Daily News.

The Bark Ark supported Just A Touch Rescue, a Rhode Island-based animal rescue and rehabilitation organization.

Supplies for the dog wash were provided - such as shampoo, towels, aprons and dryers - as well as free refreshments for pet owners.

Tickets were sold at $20 each, with all proceeds going to Just A Touch Rescue.

"Just A Touch Rescue was created in order to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home dogs who are in need of a permanent, loving home," according to the organization's website.

The animal rescue group's philosophy is based on "one dog" - where each canine that arrives to the shelter receive all of the attention that it needs, regardless of money and time. The group hopes to help many dogs, focusing on each one, one at a time.
