Veterans Village's Temporary Shelter Stays Open Through June

Veterans Village of San Diego learned this week that they can keep their winter shelter (a temporary structure) open through June:

The San Diego City Council also decided to fund approximately 80% of VVSD's costs to keep 150 homeless veterans off the streets and safe for the next ninety day.

GreaterGood.org supports VVSD's year-round programs to provide meals, shelter, counciling, and job training for homeless veterans through clicks, shopping, and donations at GreaterGood's The Veterans Site.

With VVSD's efforts through such innovative programs as the Stand Down, more veterans can move off the streets and back into permanent homes.
