WYCD Rainforest Video Wins Award of Excellence

The web series What You Can Do received an Award of Excellence from the Indie Fest for their video  Share And Save A Square. The video was shared more than 5,000 times on Facebook and was viewed 11,000 times on WYCD's YouTube channel. The campaign saved an acre of rainforest through sponsorship from The Rainforest Site.

“Our rainforests disappear at an alarming rate around the world, impacting a wide range of issues from climate change to wildlife extinction,” shared Jessica Arinella, What You Can Do creator and producer. “We are honored to receive this award from The Indie Fest and again share how people can help the rainforests in just a minute through The Rainforest Site.”

Produced by On the Leesh Productions in New York City, the What You Can Do series spotlights easy and powerful ways to help solve important issues such as rainforest preservation, climate change, hunger, and animal cruelty. The series has been featured in Better Homes & GardensThe Daily Green web site, Mrs. Green’s World radio show and Videography Magazine

"What You Can Do always has been a huge supporter of our online efforts to help people, pets, and the planet," said Elizabeth Baker, executive director of GreaterGood.org, in May . "Last year, they helped us raise more than $55,000 for animal rescue groups with the $50K in 50 Days program."
