If there's one thing Mary Bale will never do again, it's mess with an animal. The British woman, who was caught on tape last week unexpectedly throwing an innocent cat into a garbage bin, has been vilified by the public ever since, according to PeoplePets.com
Bale now is under police protection, and has released a statement condemning her own actions.
"I cannot explain why I did this, it is completely out of character and I certainly did not intend to cause any distress to Lola or her owners. It was a split second of misjudgment that has got completely out of control," Bale said to the press.
The feline who was a victim of Bale's strange behavior was 4-year-old Lola, who spent 15 hours in the trash bin before her owners heard her cries and rescued her. She is now doing well after experiencing such a harrowing ordeal.
As for Bale, the bank worker may face a hefty fine - The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) is looking into whether or not she can be penalized for her offense.
According to its website
, the RSPCA has been working since 1824 to rescue domestic pets, rehabilitate wildlife and prevent animal cruelty.
