Jerrell King was moved by televisions commercials he would see about abused and neglected animals, so he decided to take action and help find some pets a loving home.WSBTV
reports that the 12-year-old boy took to his Facebook page and started Rells 4 Tails, an animal rights nonprofit organization. He posts pictures of himself playing with animals and also includes information about animal cruelty, benefits of spaying and neutering pets and also a link for people to click to donate money.
King's work helped raise enough money to save six dogs that were scheduled to be euthanized in California. Through donations from his Facebook friends he was able to pay for the boarding, foster care, veterinary car and transportation costs for the six pooches.
"I feel happy because these dogs have been looking for a loving and caring home and hopefully I can find them … a perfect home for them to stay," he told the news source.
According to the Humane Society, three to four million animals are euthanized every year in the U.S.
