Right now, dogs are suffering needlessly in heart failure experiments at Wayne State University. The dogs are implanted with medical devices and then forced to run on treadmills while heart failure is artificially induced.
The dogs who don't die during the experiments then are usually killed a few months later when they're no longer "useful" to researchers. You can help stop this by taking action now!
The Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary will honor the memory of Catherine Violet Hubbard, one of the first graders lost in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, CT on December 14, 2012. Catherine is remembered for her beautiful smile, compassionate spirit, and love of all creatures. The sanctuary will fulfill an innocent and pure dream of a child who would whisper to every animal, "Tell all your friends that I am kind." In the next 20 years, it is estimated that more farmland will go up for sale than ever in Connecticut's history, a transition that will displace hundreds of animals. The Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary will not be a working farm, but a safe haven for those animals in need, providing them with a home where the can live the remainder of their days in a peaceful community.
