I work at a Walmart in Connecticut. Early last year, while I was at work I heard some of my co workers talking about a tiny kitten running around the pallets in the garden center. Curious, I went to check it out and sure enough there she was this little kitten hiding under a pallet.

I noticed that she had been hurt. Her ear must have gotten caught on something and was now infected. She was so scared, no one could get close to her and some people were complaining that they should just "get rid of it!..."

I had to help her, I couldn't stand it. So I started buying kitten food and placing it out for her. It was nearly impossible to get her to eat because of all the 'traffic' with customers and moving pallets.

So everyday, for a week I would put food out for her to try and get her to eat. I also told them that if they are able to ketch her I would take her. It took a few extra days, but the associates finally got her. Once they told me they had her,I kept my promise and took her home. I immediately took the kitten to the vet to get her ear checked and her shots. Vet told me that she was at most 3 months. For the next two weeks I kept the kitten in my bedroom. I would sit in there until she finally calm down enough to trust me and started to eat.

It didn't take very long for her to start feeling comfortable in her new home and with me. I found that she is such a sweet, affectionate and playful cat. I love her, and I can not imagine my life with out her.
