Three year ago this Thanksgiving as I turned on our county road to go home I saw the most pitiful small white dog I had ever seen, just standing by the roadside. I hurried home and got some dog food for her and went back and fed her. She was so starved that she could not even stand up to eat. I brought her home and discovered that she had so many fleas that they had eaten her hair off in places. My husband came home and saw her and said her name is Lucky and we were keeping her. After several days with lots of food and flea killer we realized that she had not been named correctly. Her name should be Happy because she was such a happy little dog, but more than that she makes us happy. She is so sweet and loving.
About 3 months ago in the very same place that I found Happy I looked and saw a tiny kitten in the bushes. I stopped and called her just knowing that she would run away but to my surprise she ran to me. Now we have 2 blessing that we have found by the roadside. Each and every day we are thankful for our blessings found by the roadside.
