I saved Cady from being a puppy mill breeder. She had already had 2 litters. She was abused and timid but still so loving. She is now over 13 years old and we know it won't be long before she is gone so we cherish everyday. She was named for Elizabeth Cady Stanton. (November 12, 1815 – October 26, 1902) She was an American social activist, abolitionist, and leading figure of the early women's rights movement. Her Declaration of Sentiments, presented at the first women's rights convention held in 1848 in Seneca Falls, New York, is often credited with initiating the first organized women's rights and women's suffrage movements in the United States. Her concerns included women's parental and custody rights, property rights, employment and income rights, divorce, the economic health of the family, and birth control. I thought liberating this dog from a life of only reproduction

entitled her to a name signifying her independence.
