The winter of 2009 in Michigan was extremely brutal with temps below zero at night, Every evening I would see an orange cat go from one porch to another, sit for awhile then on to the next, He would end up on my back deck where I had been putting out ca tfood to feed the local possums for the winter. At first if he even saw me looking at him through the window he would run away, eventually I got to finally go out the door, but this took almost all winter. When I finally gained his trust and could scoop him up and take him inside it was amazing. His ears were all frostbitten around the edges, and his nose and toe pads where also burned by the cold. When he finally warmed up for the first time in months, he stretched his whole body out as long as it would go. He is now warm and comfy forever, and is the greatest cat anyone could ever want. Kit Kat will never be cold again.
