These two babies, along with two other sibling were on the "to be euthanized" list at our local shelter, when a feline rescue group had them pulled. I adopted Fiona & Gracie without hesitation. Fiona gave new meaning to the word 'curious' & magically appeared whenever she heard the faucet or flush of a toilet, among countless other things & she loves to talk. Gracie had upper-respiratory infections on & off, but always seemed happy & playful, although not as quick as her big sister. She was the smallest, sweetest baby that overly enjoyed mealtime & loved to sit on our lap purring, kneading and sucking her thumb whenever petted. Gracie sucked her thumb till the day she died of FIP coronavirus at 9 months old. She brought us such joy for the six months she was here & she will never ever be forgotten. Fiona still looks for her sister, so we shower her with even more love & attention to ease her broken heart, which in turn, helps us heal as well. We will always love & miss our little thumb-sucker. She truly was very special.
