Champ along with 4 litter mates were put in a garbage bag filled with garbage and left in a ditch to die at just 1 day old. Luckily, a runner heard something and looked down to see the pups trying to find warmth. The gentleman took them to the nearest vet and then the local no kill shelter I volunteer at. We have had Champ since he was 2 days old. Bottle feedings every hour and a half with heat lamps and warm water bottles to stay warm.
Now almost 7 weeks later he is thriving. He is almost 9 pounds and his DNA revealed he is a Treeing Walker Coonhound. He is a great addition to our rescue family and couldn't be more loved. It has been amazing watching him grow. We can't wait to see what his future holds.
