I know that's a bad opening sentence, but that's what happened. My husband was coming home and as he reached the side garage door he noticed a tiny, wet kitten crying to come in out of the rain. We live in a rural area and know all the neighborhood cats and this wasn't one of them. So, he brought him in, dried him off, and introduced him to our other cats who seemed bored with the new little one. Korak is the sweetest cat and he's now been with us for 14 years. We did check with the neighborhood and the vet who said he was probably just dropped off on the roadside by someone who didn't want him. He's always a happy kitty who is much loved and shows his love of us in every way.
All of our pets have been rescued, usually from the Humane Society, but Korak was a special case. He came to us.
