I have rescued many animals in my life cats and dogs, they all have a special place in my heart but the rescue that has changed my life the most is the story of Mocha. I was living far away from my home in TX and being bored I was looking at petfinder wishing I could adopt this horse that I saw knowing I couldn't, I was far away and I knew nothing of horses. Fast forward a couple years I moved back home to TX had been given a horse that no one wanted and with help had turned her into a wonderful well mannered mare that I love very much. I realized it was time to adopt a friend for her. So to petfinder I went and imagine my surprise to see that same horse from before still available for adoption. Mocha was being kept at True Blue Animal Rescue and was not tame at 4 yrs. old she hadn't had much social interaction in her life. But I could see what she would be it took two weeks for me to be able to touch her once I got her home, that was six months ago and she has made steady progress since then and accepts a saddle now. In a few months I hope to have her comfortable enough to start training her to be ridden. My life has completely changed and to look at Mocha now you would never believe she was untouchable and wild she loves the life she has now you can see it in her eyes, she loves her pasture mate my first mare, she and Mocha come to greet me when I come to the barn everyday and I would not have it any other way.
