In June of 2012, I was about 14 years old. My mom said I could get a puppy. We don't have very many adoption shelters near where I live. So I decided i'd look on Craig's List for a puppy I could save. I found my dog Diesel. He was a beautiful black and gold Catahoula Leopard Dog and I fell in love instantly. When we went to pick him up he was so skinny, had missing hair, & was covered in sabs and fleas. He was not happy. Unfortunately we couldn't save his sister with him, but we did what we could. You could tell immediately that Diesel was happy to get out of that place. From that moment on Diesel was my bestfriend. He went with me everywhere, He cuddled with me, he'd even lay on me when I was upset or crying. He couldn't do any wrong in my heart. I loved him more than I've ever loved anything.

On September 14th, 2013. My boyfriend at times dog had gave birth to her 11 beautiful pitbull puppies. The very last puppy born, Chloie shredded her umbilical cord and she almost bled to death. I had to hold this tiny puppy for over an hour to get the bleeding to stop. I saved her life. On the day the puppies were born, my neighbors had shot Diesel and killed him. When I found out I fell to my knees and couldn't stand back up. I couldn't believe what I heard. I couldn't believe that I didn't get to say goodbye to my baby. All I wanted was to hold him one more time and tell him that I love him.

Once I got over Diesels death, I realized that the tiny white and black pitbull puppy was sent to me by him. I knew I had to keep her. She will never compare to Diesel but she's my savior.

I know its not a very good picture of Diesel, but it shows how much we loved each other.

RIP Diesel.

You're forever loved.
