My Little Nova-Caine

It has been such a joy to watch Nova’s transformation over the last 2 years. When Nova entered into our home it was a scary time for all of us. Nova was a very scared, timid, and sick puppy. When Nova took her first step outside of her crate and entered our grassy back yard, I was taken back. She had been shaved to the bone by her previous owners, she was over-weight, and she didn’t even look like a puppy. Our first night together she shook in her crate, so I left the side door and front door of the crate open as I set up my bed (sleeping bag) right next to her. My hand touched her body throughout the night. This was our routine for a week. Nova struggled from the first day we got her, she had bloody diarrhea and would not eat, I rushed her to the vet. As the vet and the technician discussed Parvo and other test's I began to feel like we were losing Nova before we could even save her. Turns out she had a bacterial infection that was caused by stress Out the door we went with a handful of medication. The vet cleared her healthy after her seven days of medication.
Nova was introduced to our Mini Aussie, Tucker, and our Border Collie, Champ. She loves them both, but she is very jealous and wants all the attention herself. It has been so much fun to watch Nova learn and play with other dogs. She has the cutest little run, she hops like a bunny, and she is lightning fast. Nova loves saying good morning and goodnight to our horses, she is very voicetress. She also loves playing with our cat, Paris. Feeding time and treat time is a pleasure to watch because she gets so excited and spins on our hardwood floors as she frantically rushes to her crate. Nova loves the water and must help us when filling up the horses’ water tank. She has conquered all fears that held her back as a puppy.
