Princes was literally left at my home. I contacted a dog rescue association after I saw a picture of my German Pincher. The information was that the organization was fostering dogs and if I wanted to have Princess come to my home to see if it worked out that would be fine. A lady came to my door with a van full of pets...all in cages...she said she was on the way to the Vet' s office. Princess was dropped off..
There was.no food or supplies. A woefully thin dog, about 18 pounds, who did not bark and was covered with fleas and ticks and was lethargic ....I took her to my Vet right away. The Vet said she was on the verge of death. After two weeks with t he Vet, she was clean, had several teeth extracted and was on Special food and antibiotics. I was told she was 2 years old but in reality, she was about 7 years old. It took her a month to bark. My Princess is now owner of my patio, healthy, has gained several pounds and we walk 3 miles a day. She smiles and flirts and loves people. She is a special gift and I am lucky to have her in my life. RESCUE A DOG!! IT IS SO REWARDING!
She has no tail because someone cut it off but she wags her butt when she us happy. A lesson in love and forgiveness every day!
