I found my sweet Romanian princess from a page of Finnish organization that arranges adoptions from Europe.I saw her picture and read the text. She was in foster care in a family here in Finland. At first I was told that she was "almost" booked. She was spending time in home with her possible new owner. And during that time I fostered another dog in my own home for two weeks and she went to a forever home on 4th July 2011.
Few days after that a friend of mine informed me that Peppi was free now and that I should call the person who is responsible about "booking" of dogs.So I called her.We talk at least for two hours on phone and she asked a lot of questions from me.At the end of the phone call she told me that I can have her.She was very happy with my answers. And I think that it helped that I had fostered their dog here in Finland.
I payed half of her fee, went to see her and at the same time I also took her home. And payed the rest. She came to me,to her forever home on 30th of July 2011.They estimated that she was about 7 or 8 years old when they found her in Romania at streets.
Personally I think that she could be even older, maybe over 10 years this years.
She has heart murmur, her eyes are getting blind slowly and she also has little bit of osteoarthritis.
She happy little girl and I'm so happy to have her and I love her so much.
The Animal Rescue Site focuses the power of the Internet on a specific need — providing food and vital care for some of the eight million unwanted animals given to shelters every year in the U.S., as well as animals in desperate need around the world. Over four million animals are put to death each year in the U.S. alone because they are abandoned and unwanted.
Each click on the purple "Click Here to Give — it's FREE!" button at The Animal Rescue Site provides food and care for a rescued animal in need. Funding for food and care is paid by site sponsors and distributed to animals in need by Rescue Bank, The Fund for Animals, the Petfinder Foundation, North Shore Animal League, International Fund for Animal Welfare, and other worthy animal rescue organizations supported by GreaterGood.org.
In addition to clicking the purple "Click Here to Give - it's FREE" button, visitors can help more by shopping in The Animal Rescue Site store. With each item purchased, shoppers generate funds for the feeding and care of animals in shelters and sanctuaries.
