As Dad and I drove thru out Central Florida, Mom was stationed on the computer at "Puppy Command" checking Petfinders.com for dogs and adoption locations, calling us with our next stop. But I just couldn't find the "right one" to share my new house and pool. Mom sent us to a shelter called Buddies for Life in Orlando to see a female, short haired, water loving, Shepard-Lab (??) mix... but as I sat on the floor trying to holding her squirmy little body, a black fur ball timidly peeked out from under a chair and ambled over into my lap. One look and I was done! Dad said "that isn't your dog... this looks like your dog" pointing to the squirmer, who was almost everything I had been looking for. "Nope, Dad" I said, "I've picked every man in my life based on his looks and not his temperament. This time I'm doing it right. I don't care if he's not a she, has a mass of hair, and seems shy... he's the one for me." After spending a half hour with him, I was positive. And he is perfect, for me, AND MY DAD, who's side Primo Giacomo rarely leaves when Dad is anywhere near by. And Primo's opened his heart and taken to foster dogs and my boyfriend's Wheaten Terrier like a brother, he's not at all shy! And there's dog hair everywhere but who cares?! Primo IS Perfecto (but we still make fun of Dad whenever he's snuggling with Primo across his chest - "that's not your dog")!
