My mom and I were wanting for a second dog for a really long time, but my dad didn't want us to get one. So my mom and I waited to see if he would change his mind, but sadly nothing was changing. My older brother (half-brother) had gotten this dog, Rico, to keep him company right after his dad had died. Rico still being a puppy, would chew everything, so my brother had to take him with him everywhere. Rico became very hard to take care of so my brother asked my mom and I if we wanted him. We knew my dad didn't want another dog but we couldn't let this mischievous puppy get put in the pound. My dad wasn't too happy when we brought Rico home, but after a while he grew to love him as much as my mom and I. Our other dog loved having him around and she lost a lot of weight playing with him. I love him with all my heart and I'm so glad we didn't have to get rid of him. I'm always playing with him and giving him attention. I think bringing him home was the best thing for our entire family.
