A friend of mine found “Spunky” at a complex where she worked. He was filthy, dirty and hungry but loved people. Her husband is allergic to cats so she asked if I would foster him as none of the rescues had room for him. She told me he was an especially great cat. I agreed with reservation as I had 3 cats and 3 dogs (Dobermans) all rescues. I had him neutered, microchipped, tested to be sure he was FIV negative. I also spent hours combing out mats in his long fur. He went from a sorry looking stray to a handsome boy and my friend was right, he is a special cat. We called him “Skunky” because of his black tail. After being posted on the rescue website for several months and he did not find a home, I became a “foster failure” and renamed him “Spunky”. He plays with my other male cat and is great with the dogs. He sleeps cuddled in their beds with them and grooms them. He follows me around the house and is never far from me. He also likes to take walks in the yard with his harness and leash. I am so glad he joined our family.....Sue in Arizona
