He started out as "Chance" because that's all he had. His feral mother abandoned him at birth on a cold May day and we awoke to his pitiful crying. We found him alone in the leaves at the edge of our woods. We took him in and bottle fed him every 2 hrs. He flourished, but was very sickly. He developed terrible abscesses on his legs which eventually crippled his front right paw. He has had multiple ailments, but has persevered through them all. We renamed him "Trooper" because he has been one through his entire ordeal. He is a playful, bounding 6 month old and the joy of our lives.
The Animal Rescue Site focuses the power of the Internet on a specific need — providing food and vital care for some of the eight million unwanted animals given to shelters every year in the U.S., as well as animals in desperate need around the world. Over four million animals are put to death each year in the U.S. alone because they are abandoned and unwanted.
Each click on the purple "Click Here to Give — it's FREE!" button at The Animal Rescue Site provides food and care for a rescued animal in need.
