Ginny- She was a scruffy underfed pup (about half a year old) that had been taken to shelter in Western Iowa after being found savaging around the streets for something to eat. Her fur was matted and ratty, and she had an under bite that had experienced some dental conditions. After 6 months the shelter couldn't find a home for her so they put an Ad in local newspaper that she would have to be put down soon if they were unable to find her a home. My mom saw the ad, and knowing I a had Lucky a scruffy terrier mix who looked a little homely, she thought it would be the perfect fit. Lucky had been experiencing some depression problems so we thought maybe a new friend would help him recover. He’d had a rough last year in a half and was not faring well. So we took Lucky to meet her, and it was best friends at first site so we adopted her on the spot.
Ginny and Lucky have since been absolutely inseparable the two sleep, cuddle, and play together (he even lets her win). We had to make some quick adjustments when we first got her because she was terrified of bigger dogs and would attack certain ones but she has since learned that other dogs can be friendly (even if their bigger) so the problem has been resolved.Ginny is such a cuddle bug who loves attention (she'll grunt at you to get your attention), doing tricks like dancing or just snuggling. She sleeps in our bed right by your side sometimes even snoring. I am so happy we adopted her and it’s been a lovely 5 years of friendship/family for myself and the two pups with many more years to come.
