After having 3 rottwieliers, one English Bull terrier, a lurcher and a Border Collie I rescued a cat from an animal sancturay. It's a life-long job and I hope to God I give him the home he so truly deserves after being behind bars. Have been bahind bars myself many times ...and it's an awful feeling to think you have been given bail only to find out that you will be staying in prison. Would never dump my pet, no matter what. Have not got much money but the poor animal I rescued will never, ever go short. Animals are a real blessing. Never thought I, of all people, would have committed to rescue a cat !!! But it turns out he is just as much a character as all my dogs were. :)
