The story goes that coffee was discovered by a goatherd in Ethiopia who noticed that his goats got extra frisky when they munched the cherries off a certain bush. Fast forward a few centuries and coffee is cultivated around the globe, but Ethiopia remains home to countless species of wild coffee trees that remain unknown outside its borders. This sparkling cup contains aromas of delicate orange as well as the bergamot citrus we're familiar with as the scent in Earl Grey tea.

I discovered this variety a number of years ago and began buying it through Greater Good maybe 8 or 10 years ago. The flavor is kind of mild, but there are times that is just what I want. Plus, I have taken to doubling the scoops used for a cup. I went through the small bags so quickly I moved up to buying th 5 pound size.

This coffee has a great flavor. I didn't taste the orange or bergamot, but I did taste a hint of chocolate flavor. I just wish it was a little stronger.

A little disappointed in the overall flavor of this bean, but it adds interesting notes when blended (as the minor contributor) with the Guatemalan and/or Sumatran coffee.

I am a bit disappointed with this coffee. I do like it much darker and bolder. I do mix it though with my espresso and it tastes just fine.
