January 9, 2014 - BUY WITH CONFIDENCE--it's cute, works well, and you CAN reuse it. A clear liquid in the paw means that you click the metal oval inside the paw to heat it. An opaque/hard paw means immerse in boiling water for 5 minutes to heat it. Basically, you must alternate between the metal clicker and the boiling water method. It gets hotter with the boiling water than it does with the metal clicker, but not too hot, and I used a dry washcloth between it and my skin to be safe. It stays hot for about 15+ minutes.
January 2, 2014 - I bought this a few weeks and I got it to work once but, now it is solid as a rock and I can't get it to work again. I wish that the directions were on the paw as I lost the packaging.
December 30, 2013 - Cute and good idea, but smaller than I thought so a little pricey. Gave as a gift and haven't heard how they work, but I'm glad it helped feed animals anyway!
December 28, 2013 - These are OK for short periods of time but they don't stay warm long. They can be recharged but not while you are out walking - I'd give them a pass
December 26, 2013 - I ordered 2 and neither worked properly. One was solid and never gelled or became warm. The other worked once and the disc inside broke. I emailed customer service and they are sending new one(s). In the meantime, I did find one use for them - I put them in the freezer and they work cold packs but only for approx. 15 minutes before they thaw.
