Exotic and colorful, these earrings are a positively vibrant addition to your jewelry collection. Bold red and black huayruro seeds dangle from sterling accents in three different styles. Choose from Espiga, Drop or Cluster.

The huayruro seed is grown for its ornamental value, and is used extensively in Andean tribal ornaments and jewelry. Although poisonous if eaten, huayruro seeds are safe worn as decoration, and are treasured for their naturally-occurring red and black coloring. Paired with sterling silver, they make a stunning gift!

Earrings measure from 1" L to 1.75" L (2.5 cm to 4.4 cm) and have French hooks for pierced ears. Handmade in the Junin region of Peru, and fair-trade imported.

December 31, 2012 - Love the cluster of red and black; beautiful workmanship. Just wish I could find these on the long bar with post I had before. For the price, fabulous!
