Recycled Huipil Tiny Bouquet Pouch
One word: vivacious. Passionate blooms bring the vibrance of Mayan culture to your couture in an opulent banquet for the eyes...breathtaking. Perfect for a pair of theater tickets and lipstick.
The indigenous Mayans still living in Guatemala are well known for their colorful native dress, lovingly created by hand on vintage looms. The huipil (wa-peel) is a traditional blouse carefully woven with intricate patterns incorporated into the fabric or embroidered on top. Each village has their own design and unique color combination -- many of which have remained unchanged since pre-Columbian times.
