"My family works in wood carving and furniture. Working with wood isn't difficult for a specialist like my father, but an innovative variety of designs is necessary and I create my own. We specialize in mango wood, which requires a special treatment. When the piece is smooth enough, I carve and decorate it. The final step is painting. Depending on the finishing style and the natural wood hue, a piece can take as long as six days to finish."
