Paw Print Musical Plant Stake

Item # 48525
No longer available
Paw prints in the garden that are music to your ears. Bring joy to yard or patio with this delicately hand-tuned wind chime from artisan Jacob Sokoloff.

  • Brass & aluminum
  • 5" H (12.7 cm) on 18" H steel stake (45.7 cm)
  • Handmade in the U.S.A.

Originally a maker of gourd harps and wooden flutes in the 1980's, Jacob Sokoloff turned his musical crafting skills to finely-tuned chimes, creating his phenomenally popular "Waterfall" chime.  A musician at heart, Jacob makes the purity of tone his overriding emphasis. He hand tunes each chime he creates, making the pitch of each pipe relatively scaled to the others.

Combined with the marketing and design contributions of his sister Fern Sokoloff, their small company took off. They introduced the "Cantabell" chimes that broke ground for a whole line of plant stake, miniature, and even magnetic chimes. "Each chime contains a little bit of the magic of that first Waterfall wind chime," Fern says. "It feels great to be able to offer such a magical product that everyone can afford."

April 5, 2013 - In March 2013 bought this chime for our little Japanese Chin's resting place. I was disappointed when it arrived, as it is not much of a product for the cost. It is about 1.5 ft high and the little chime is nicely made. The problem we have with this product, is the metal stake it is welded to, is very weak and flimsy. the chime although small is too heavy for the metal stake. After several attempts at placing the chime, I ended up putting it into a hanging basket so the stake would go down about 3" into the soil. Still, the chime leans over. Apparently the metal chimes are too few and too light to be musical. At best it is a pot decoration. For the cost, I would not recommend as a "musical" stake or chime.

February 17, 2013 - This is the cutest thing. It's much smaller than I would like, I'm not able to show it off very much. But it's cute.
