September 21, 2013 - This feeder is the first one I have found that keeps the seed dry ~ terrific. However, the sparrows are just as able to feed as the smaller songbirds and they are always starving. Have to fill it often. That's my problem, not a design flaw. I love being able to see all the birds feeding. So much fun.
May 8, 2013 - This is a perfect feeder for smaller birds!!! The doves and pigeons which thrive in Las Vegas don't stand a chance with it. To get the birds comfortable with it, I stuck a length of thin tubing through two holes so they stuck out on two sides and the birds could perch on the tube. After a while it fell out but since they know where the food is now, they learned to cling on to the holes like in the picture. I have had mine for almost a year now and it's still in one piece. I am thinking of buying another one! I do agree that it's too small though. I was hoping for something larger. The birds in my yard go through it in one morning so I have to fill it often.
April 2, 2013 - I love the being able to see birds as they feed from this unique feeder. It's wonderful for the Finches to have a feeding station they can share with larger birds but still get all they want and need since the feeder allows them to hang up side down in their favorite feeding style. The globe is a little tough to get together the first couple of tries but once you've got the right pieces in the right places it goes together in a snap.
November 21, 2012 - My only complaint about this feeder is that it is too small. Its best feature is that it keeps the food DRY. Winter is northern, northern CA is very wet and this is the only feeder I have found that keeps the seed dry even in heavy rain.
September 1, 2012 - Easy to assemble, easy to fill, unique design. Birds haven't come near it yet. Had it over a month in two different locations near other feeders.
