Set your sights on new horizons with this simply beautiful stretch beaded bracelet made by women in Uganda and Kenya. Handmade by women in Uganda from recycled magazines -- individually hand-rolled and coated with a shiny lacquer to make them water-resistant and durable -- the beads are then fairly traded to Kenya for hand-stringing...transforming them into beautifully uncommon jewelry. All the workers are paid fair, livable wages -- about five times higher than the national average in Kenya.

These bracelets are so beautiful! I received a similar one for a birthday present from a girlfriend several years ago and loved it. So when I found these (and 2 for 9$) I bought the set to give one to each of my sisters. They are fun, go with just about everything and add a nice touch of boho to an outfit. So cute and the fact that they help fellow women out and give back makes it an even better gift to give:)
