re: Christmas Miricle

I was truly touched by your story of your furry baby, and the horrific life she had at the hands of irresponsible owners.

I too have a rescue, I love him to bits and he is the most loving, trusting little staffie X ever, but is so anxious, mainly separation.

I have tried everything I can, web and chats with vets about curing this, he spent the first 6 years (that we know of) of his life in a cage, only brought out to be used for dogs to practise fighting on, if he fought back he was beaten and boiling water poured over him, was only ever fed the dead dogs, including his sister. Story is so horrific. He was emaciated and covered in mange. Been to hell and back then the vet found a tumour a few weeks back, thankfully it all out and he healing nicely, playing with his little friend Chloe and running around with his squeaky ball. It is great to see him so happy and healthy and just full of fun. My only problem is that he is terrified to be left alone in the house, he has been through walls and furniture and I'm terrified he hurts himself, walls and furniture can be replaced but he is irreplaceable.

I was wondering what techniques you used in helping your little miracle with her anxiety issues, I'm considering the Thundershirt, I have no idea if this or anything will work, he is just terrified that he is left alone, I don't want to use an indoor cage, because he suffered in one for so long, then spent 3 years in rescue being rehabilitated as best they could.

Any help would be wonderful thank you and praise you for all you did for your little angel
